Coronavirus Update

Firstly, we would like to thank all our clients.

Thank you for  being so understanding an appreciative. We have managed to stay open throughout the pandemic thanks to your cooperation.

AT THE TIME OF WRITING OUR WESTHOUGHTON SURGERY CANNOT TAKE INCOMMING PHONE CALLS (Thursday 6th Jan 2022). We hope this will be fixed by 2.30pm today. Prior to that, or if you are still unable to get an answer from the Westhoughton surgery after that time, please call our Horwich surgery on 01204 694004. Staff there can deal with your questions, make appointments for you at the Westhoughton surgery and accept medication orders to collect from the Westhoughton surgery. Please just specify which surgery you would like the relevant service at.

Please be assured that we have been doing everything we can to solve this problem. We have been assured several times by BT that they will resolve it, but we are still waiting........

We continue to offer all veterinary services to our patients. This includes vaccinations, consultations, medical and surgical investigations and procedures, xrays, ultrasound etc.

We will very happily see your pet, but you will need to contact us first to make an appointment.

Please telephone a surgery before setting off on 01942 818845 (for Westhoughton)  or 01204 694004 (for Horwich).
We can then give appropriate advice and be ready for your arrival.

Welcome to Pike Moor Vets

Pike Moor Vets is an independent small animal veterinary practice serving parts of the Bolton, Wigan and Chorley districts. The surgery has grown steadily over that last 30 years, constantly

developing and improving the diagnostic and treatment facilities we can offer to our patients and clients.

Care is provided by qualified Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Veterinary Nurses and dedicated and experienced support staff at two surgeries, one in Horwich and one in Westhoughton.

The surgery offers a wide range of diagnostic, treatment and surgical facilities in addition to annual health checks and vaccines, preventative health care advice, neutering and microchip implantation. Free nurse clinics are available for weight clinics, puppy clinics and kitten clinics. We can also offer advice on a range of behavioural and anxiety problems suffered by domestic pets.

If you have a question about your pet's health, please telephone the surgery to ask. Some questions can be answered quickly and easily by our experienced receptionists. If this is not the case they will ask a vet or vet nurse and get an answer for you. If you are concerned about your pet's health please do not delay as the earlier advice is sought, the more likely it is that we will be able to help your pet.
