We are a family run painting and decorating company situated in the heart of the Harrogate residential district that carries out all types of decorating work.

Although skilled in the renovation or restoration of older houses in the classic design, we have carried out work on all types of properties from exclusive apartments to new builds, extensions and terraced houses.

Chris started his decorating career in 1982 and over the years has earned a reputation for providing a top quality finish. This is only made possible by putting a lot of time and effort into preparation before using the best quality materials to give you an outstanding results. His son, Matthew, completed his NVQ level 3 and also won Painting and Decorating Apprentice of the Year at Leeds College of Building in 2013.

Chris has personally trained his staff to meet his own high standards and they have been rewarded by being nominated for the prestigious Johnstone's Painter of the Year award on 5 separate occasions, winning top prize in the Residential category before being crowned Supreme Winner and taking home the coveted title of Johnstone's Painter of the Year 2013 at a lavish awards ceremony held at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester on May 17th 2014.

Chris and Matthew have also been shortlisted in the Small Contractor category at the PDA Premier Trophy Awards on 6 times winning a Commended in 2012, Highly Commended in 2014 & 2016, Very Highly Commended in 2014 & 2015 and Best Small Contractor Winner 2016.

Chris realised a long time ago that the standard of private work was being dragged down to the level of contract works, so set about to fill the gap in the market for real quality residential decorating. When Chris quotes for a job, he quotes to fulfil these standards, not to quote competitively with other decorators. After all, you wouldn't expect Gordon Ramsey to cook you a hamburger for the same price as Mcdonalds, would you?
