This UK wide Construction and Rail company specialises in build, bridge repairs, stations, and depot work. Due to recent growth within their rail division, they are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee various projects in the South and Eastern regions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation with a clear progression route into Senior Divisional Management.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Control of a portfolio of projects including building projects, bridge repairs, depot works, structures, platform extensions and new build stations;
  • Bid Management;
  • Planning & Programming;
  • Commercial control;
  • The overview and implementation of health and safety procedures and QA procedures;
  • Liaising with the client and Sub Contractors;
  • Organising and managing site delivery staff;
  • To ensure that projects are handed over to the client on time and to a high standard;
  • The successful candidate will have:
  • A construction background and a minimum of 3 years in rail;
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, on budget and to the required quality standards;
  • Experience with delivering projects of up to 10 Million (in the disciplines mentioned above);
  • Excellent communications skills at all levels;
  • The ability to manage and motivate a team effectively;
  • Ideally Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction, however, a HNC or HND will be sufficient;
