Wood Yew Waste
Waste & Garbage Services in Plymouth, Devon
Wood Yew Waste was established in January 1999 to recycle the huge amount of wood that was previously being landfilled, with the primary goal of providing wood chip to the panel board industry. Working in partnership with Plymouth City Council, we set up our operation at Chelson Meadow Landfill Site to recycle the wood being disposed of at the council's civic amenity area and the waste wood that was being landfilled by local industry. From an initial turnover of under 50 tonnes of wood per week, we currently have steadily increased the volume of wood we recycle to almost 500 tonnes per week.
