read moreFollowing my previous communication on Tuesday (see below) and having now received some additional guidance from the Awarding Bodies, I am providing you with a further update on your position in relation to the January exams. The Department for Education guidance states that vocational exams can go ahead where schools and colleges 'judge it right to do so'. It further states that no student will be disadvantaged by not taking their scheduled exams in January. Having carefully considered all the above, we have concluded that sitting the January exams will not provide students with the most secure route to getting the best possible final outcomes on their courses.

read moreYou can view the prospectus online or we can send you a hard copy. Please note, the College only accepts online applications - the application form is available under "How to Apply" on this site. We will acknowledge your application online or by post and you will be offered an interview within a couple of weeks of receipt of your application. With your interview offer you will receive a pack telling you what to expect at the meeting. In June, before you join us you will be invited to a Welcome Day to meet other students who will be joining the College.

read moreIf you can't attend an Open Evening there is lots of information in the prospectus, or on this website. We will acknowledge your submission by return email. We advise you to apply as early as possible as we are a heavily oversubscribed College. After we have received your application you will receive a postal notification of your individual interview with a senior member of staff. This will give you the opportunity to discuss your course options and talk about your study programme at the College.

read moreFinancial support is available in order to provide assistance to those students facing financial barriers to participation in education, such as costs of books, transport, equipment or the paying for trips where the trip is an essential part of a student's course. Bursaries are awarded to students who reside in a household which has a taxable income of less than 22,000. The amount awarded is dependent upon individual circumstances. Students who are not automatically eligible for a bursary can apply for financial support in exceptional circumstances.

read moreThe courses chosen at the initial interview are for our guidance only. So if you change your mind before enrolment, new subject combinations will usually work. The final choice of subject is made at enrolment in late August or early September, after you have your GCSE results. Our staff and personal tutors are very experienced in handling your university applications. Students attend events, Higher Education fairs and representatives from a number of universities visit the College. We have a dedicated Oxbridge advisor and take our candidates to the Oxbridge conference each year.

All subjects are taught by specialist teachers who are highly skilled in teaching 16-19 year olds. When choosing your subjects you need to give yourself the best possible chance of achieving your career aims. To this end we provide expert advice and guidance from the start. You can get information from our course sheets but the best way is to come and meet the teachers at our Open Evening or by personal interview which all students who apply to the College are invited to.
