Withy Grove Veterinary Clinic
Veterinarians in Preston, Lancashire
Our clinic goals and to supply a friendly, caring and reliable solution for all pets. The Clinic started life over 30 years ago in Withy Grove House (now a nursing home) from which the surgery takes its name. In 1984 we moved onto our present site on Station Road. Michael Clarke took over the practice in 1990, and since then the array of services, as well as the staff and the practice size, have all increased.

Withy Grove Veterinary Clinic
read moreDuring this lockdown we are not letting clients in the building, when you arrive give us a call or knock on the door and we will come out to you. We will see your pet if it is sick, injured or has a welfare concern but not for routine things. If your pet is due a booster vaccine there is a 3 month safety ‘window' so we will only do the vaccine if you are at the end of this period. This does not apply to puppy and kitten vaccines or year one boosters (as they pick up any pets that may not have responded to the initial course) both of which we will do as normal.
About Us
read moreAlthough Withy Grove Vets opened its doors in the 1970s, our story begins when Michael Clarke took over the reins in 1990. Inspired in his youth by the famous veterinary novels of James Herriot, Michael decided to act on his passion for animal care by gaining veterinary qualifications from London University and, after picking up extensive experience in various other practices, electing to purchase his own practice. Since that time, the surgery has expanded from one vet and three nurses to five vets and 16 nursing and supporting staff, each of whom can offer you the best in customer care.
Pet Health & Wellbeing

With this in mind, we've created this list of health and wellbeing issues for you to keep an eye on. And remember - we're always on hand to help with examination, operation and friendly advice to help you help your pet. Dogs and puppies require vaccinations to avoid serious illnesses like parvovirus, distemper, canine infectious hepatitis, parainfluenza and leptospirosis.
