In 1930 Mr. W. H. W. White opened a shop at 13 Bridge Street, Northampton. He began selling practical country clothes, scout uniforms and camping equipment. With hard work and a nice location the business grew along with its reputation. As time passed the business kept pace with modern trends and advancements. The shop had many cosmetic changes, going through various improvements to the shop front. On the 25th May 1950 it was established into a limited firm. Years later the business was handed down to Mr White's son.
