To reach this, a Counsellor will supply a safe environment for the customer/patient to express their thoughts and feelings in confidence; giving non-judgemental support and feedback, helping them to become aware of the effect upon and meaning to others of what they are saying and doing, and to challenge their own perceptions and beliefs that give rise to problem behaviours and negative feelings.
