Medical Center in Stafford, Staffordshire Prescriptions will be ready for collection in 48 Working Hours day if you'll be picking the prescription up from the Surgery (See table right) For those that request their prescription be sent to a local pharmacy then the time will be dependant on that pharmacy. Please contact the relevant pharmacy for an indication of the timescale. The pharmacies will pick up your written prescription from the health centre. If you prefer to use this service please state which pharmacy you prefer to use on your prescription request. Please note this may result in a delay in you getting your medication.

Many of the services are by Doctors referral only. However you can access District Nurses, Social Workers (on Monday Mornings only), School Nurses and the Health Visitor by referring to the telephone numbers on our Useful Contacts Page. The Emotional Well being Service in Stafford provides counselling and a range of other services to treat mental health problems.

We have a page dedicated to Carers where you can also register with us as a carer so we can provide you with additional support. If you think you are pregnant see your Doctor as soon as possible. Your Doctor will then arrange for your further antenatal care. Clinics are held by appointment and in conjunction with the community midwife on Thursday mornings. Advanced Nurse Practitioners are medical professionals who have undertaken considerable training and act as the triage service for the GPs. They are able to prescribe medications, diagnose, treat and refer. Please note they are not able to issue sickness certificates. They work across all three of our sites on various days and times. read moreHome visits are available for patients who are housebound or terminally ill and cannot come to the surgery. All requests for home visits will be assessed by a Doctor. Where possible please telephone between the hours of 8am to 10am so that the doctors have time to plan their list of home visits. When you request a visit, the receptionist will ask for details. This information enables the doctors to plan their calls and allows urgent visits to be dealt with promptly. If the patient has a rash or temperature it will do them no harm to come to the surgery and will not endanger others, please inform the receptionist on arrival.
