Waltham Windmill
Golf Courses & Equipment in Grimsby, Lincolnshire
A prestigious design was produced by Clive Clark and Peter Alliss and work started in the late 1980's. Unfortunately, like a wealth of development at this time, money ran out and work stopped after digging a wealth of big holes and moving a wealth of soil. The site was then left untouched for 6 years, and became totally overgrown. Construction work started spring 1995 and finished with the seeding of the course in September of that year. The course was then allowed to settle for 18 months before opening in May 1997. A huge, modern, but traditional clubhouse was built to coincide with the opening of the course.

read moreThe idea of a golf course was first discussed early in the 1980's when a design was produced by Clive Clark and Peter Alliss and work started in the late 1980's. Unfortunately there was not sufficient funding and work stopped leaving the site untouched for six years until it was purchased by the current owners in 1994. They redesigned the layout of the course and work began again in 1995 with the club opening for play in May 1997. Waltham Windmill Golf Club now offers an exciting and challenging round of golf in a beautiful landscaped setting in 125 acres of Lincolnshire countryside.
