Wallace School of Transport is a family run business, established in 1963 in Nottingham by the late Russell Wallace (on the 2nd row, 3rd from the left), who served in the Armed Forces Motor Corps.Building on this wealth of knowledge and experience of driver training, he laid the foundations of the school, and in 1969 was one of the first to attend the then newly formed Road Transport Industry Training Board to become an approved instructor and school.
The HGV driving test was launched in 1969. We were one of the first schools in the country to offer lorry driver training.
The growth of the school meant that Russell needed help with bookings and administration and in 1970 he asked Dorothy, his wife, to join him. Together they ran the school until the early 80's.

read moreI passed my C1 training a few weeks ago with Wallace and their staff were all very helpful - from the office staff to instructors. I originally booked to take my test in Enfield but ended up taking it in Guildford due a problem at the Enfield centre. I was worried at first but the fantastic instructors made me feel comfortable and prepared enough to take my test/drive the van anywhere. Thanks to Terry Wright and David Humphries I was trained well enough to pass my test and am now qualified. I would definitely advise you to ring, couldnt recommend them enough.

read moreToday I passed my C1 test from training with Hanspal from the Wembley site. I can't thank him and Wallace school of transport enough for supporting me through it. Hanspal was so patient and kind to me during our lessons this week. At the start of the week there's no way I would have passed but within a matter of 14 hours driving time I was able to pass with only one minor which was completely my fault. You get much more than your moneys worth with Wallace School of Transport. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Wallace are fortunate to have someone of his calibre within their ranks.
All the staff i dealt with were fantastic and always kept up to date with everything and always given enpugh notice of tests and training etc.
Top company to use i would highly recommend this to anyone looking to take any form of driver training.

These guys have the latest kit, the best tutors, and an easy to reach location. Don't be tempted to go for the cheaper option elsewhere: if you're serious about passing your advanced driving course, these guys are who you call.

read moreJust passed my CPC today. I would highly recommend Wallace to anyone looking to get a career as a lorry driver. The instructor I had (Paul) was excellent, and was able to explain the technique of driving in an interesting way.
The 3 hour course that they offer to help you get module 4 is well worth doing and prepares you for the last part. The truck I drove was also very good. The automatic handles very well.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Krishna for his excellent attitude to PCV training.Thanks to Krishna I passed my PCV practical driving test this afternoon. With his professional, straight forward and honest manner he guided me from bouncing across kerbs to competent PCV driver good enough to pass the test.

read moreB+E tests are conducted by senior DVSA examiners at the Lorry & Bus Driving Test Centre. Examiners are looking for you to be at the same high standards of driving as a Lorry or Bus driver has to reach (and this much more than what is needed to pass an ordinary car driving test). Our instructors are qualified to deliver to this higher standard being NRI/NVDIR accredited. And more than a car instructor, they know what is required and can teach you how to gain this higher standard to pass your B+E test.
