Walding & Son the local family owned Funeral Directors in Uxbridge has been helping and advising local families for over one hundred years. The business was established by James Walding who had previously worked as a carpenter for W & A Cherry, builders and undertakers, for thirty five years. In 1906 when the Cherry family decided to close their business James decided to begin his own undertaking business at 121 High Street, Uxbridge. At the age of 59 he placed his 1st advertisement in the local Uxbridge newspaper on seventh July 1906.
