Our Story

read moreMartyn & Linda Smith planted ‘Vineyard Christian Fellowship Manchester' firstly as a small group in their home then soon moving into public meetings. The church continued to grow under their leadership and met in a variety of university and school buildings through the 1990s. We bought the Whitworth pub in February, spent almost a year renovating it to house our church offices and our amazing coffee house, The Anchor, which opened its doors to the local community in January 2013. We love that we get to be a part of the wider Body of Christ in Manchester and across the world!

read moreWe're convinced that our kids can encounter God, be empowered and engage the city just as much as the rest of us - and we're committed to seeing our children grow up to know God, walk with Holy Spirit and change the world around them! Our Sunday morning groups run for the duration of our Sunday gatherings, so you can drop them off when you arrive at church and collect them at the end! We operate a secure check-in and pick-up system for your kids safety and your peace of mind, plus all our workers are DBS checked.

read moreOur vision is to see hope, healing and freedom poured out into every life, home and workplace. For us this starts with individuals who experience the presence of God, who are secure in their identity as His children. Every Sunday at 11am we have our Sunday Stream, with worship, teaching and lots more that you would find if you visited in person. It's available on our YouTube channel and at vinelife.co.uk/athome, and as well as live chat we have our prayer teams available via Zoom at the end of the stream.
