Thornton College is a Day and Boarding School for girls aged 4 - 16 and has a co-educational nursery attached, called the Genevieve Nursery, which is for girls and boys aged 2 - to 4 years. Thornton College is located between Milton Keynes and Buckingham and welcomes day girls from a 30 mile radius of the school, and boarders from all over the world. read moreWe have two superbly equipped ICT suites in addition to the ICT facilities in teaching rooms. One suite is specifically used for the teaching of ICT as a subject, which is taught from Year 7 and an option for GCSE. A new ICT suite is in the St Clare building and is for Prep School use. Prep teachers use the facility to enhance subject teaching in addition to teaching ICT skills. Almost all teaching rooms now have SmartBoard technology. These are interactive whiteboards which allow greater scope for engaging pupils with varied learning styles, particularly girls who respond better to visual and kinsthetic (or tactile) learning.
