Following a career in marketing, sales and general management with such firms as Unigate and Diageo, Stephen moved into marketing consultancy in 1991, becoming Senior Partner and joint founder of SMP in 1997. He directly manages all major projects, working through SMP's staff of specialists. As a member of the Market Research Society, the Institute of Direct Marketing, and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Stephen ensures all work undertaken for customer schools or other educational organisations complies with relevant professional standards.
