Churches in Wirral, Merseyside
St Bridget's Parish Church serves the tiny town of West Kirby, on the Dee estuary. The Church was established by Christian Vikings from Ireland, so we currently have a thousand years of knowledge of bringing people the nice news of the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. People who come into St Bridget's today still encounter God's love in the pretty, holy building and in reflective worship and stimulating preaching. We're trying to represent the Church of England at its finest.

About Us
read moreIt is hard to pinpoint how old St Bridget's Church is, since it has been altered and added to over many centuries. Though we know that Christians worshipped here at the time of the first Millennium, the earliest parts of the building surviving and visible are the VESTRY DOORWAY and some of the masonry north wall of the Lady Chapel which are of the early 14th century. There is a ring of 8 bells, 4 of them over 200 years old - a skilled team ring for Sunday morning services as well as weddings and other occasions.
