Any digital image submitted as part of an online consultation will be stored in your clinical notes. We are delighted to announce that the Worthing will start vaccinating patients aged 80 and over in early January 2020. In Worthing 3 sites have been approved for vaccination, those being Durrington Health Centre, St Lawrence Surgery and the Strand Medical Centre. Clinic times are from 8 am to 8pm and booking is conducted by our local federation, Innovation in Primary Care, who call patients directly when they are able to arrange appointments (please DO NOT call you surgery who are not able to make an appointment for you).

Please click on the travel vaccinations for more information. On contacting the surgery advice will be given and arrangements made for an appointment in our travel clinic for any necessary immunisations. All immunisations are administered by the practice nurse. We offer a comprehensive family planning service for pills, injections and implants, coils, caps and other barrier methods, as well as for emergency contraception.

As no one is automatically registered with a surgery, it is important that both you and all members of your household register at the same time. We recognise the important role of carers in looking after dependent relatives; please make it known if you are caring for someone. Your registration will be with the practice however you will be given a named doctor responsible for care however you can see any of the doctors practising at the surgery, although you may have to wait longer to see a specific doctor.

Reducing the amount of paper we send and receive is something we feel strongly about, and throughout the last year we have promoted more environmentally friendly methods of communication such as email and SMS messaging to our patients and colleagues in the NHS. We are sorry for pestering you regarding contact details on a regular basis, but this has made a significant impact to our Carbon footprint and we are eager to reduce it even further!

read moreThe morning was a steady success, and thanks to our lovely volunteers and some generous staff, there was plenty of 'healthy' cake to go around; from lemon drizzle to fresh strawberries and cream, we had something for everyone who popped in. Our gratitude is due to all those who attended, as together we started to raise funds towards replacing our wheelchair that was stolen from the surgery, and towards a 24 hour blood pressure machine. Our resident I.T. lead was on hand to answer questions and to help to set up online access to medical records for those who wanted it.
