read moreThe Biscuit Factory is an independent art gallery, founded in 2002 and located in the cultural quarter of Newcastle, Ouseburn. A former Victorian biscuit manufacturing warehouse, The Biscuit Factory underwent a sympathetic refurbishment, ensuring that many of the original and characterful facets of the building such as the beams and brickwork were maintained. Adding in an upper floor, accessible by a bespoke staircase, provided a treble height atrium that allows natural daylight to flood through the centre of the gallery and provides what is now our headline artist's exhibition space.

Light up North makes bespoke neon lights and illuminated art using electroluminescent wire from their workshops in Saltburn by the sea, North Yorkshire. They blend technical innovation with artistic flare and a cheeky sense of humour.

read moreWe have full disabled access throughout all four floors of the building. The gallery and our restaurant Artisan are accessible via a ramp at the front of the building, on Stoddart Street. The Factory Kitchen caf is accessible via a customer lift on the ground floor. There is one disabled parking space for disabled visitors to The Biscuit Factory located in our private car park. Additional car parking is available at our sister gallery space The Holy Biscuit located on Clarence Street, or on-street free 2 hour parking on Stoddart Street.
