Regardless of last night's snowfall, the academy is remaining open and all classes are running as usual until further notice. We can confirm that last week's missed classes will be made up in the half term week (Wed 17th Feb- Sat twentieth Feb) As one of the major Brighton dance schools and founded for over 15 years, we supply a fun but disciplined environment where young people can explore the world of dance. We provide an extensive array of dance classes in ballet, modern, jazz, national and tap, starting from Pre-school beginners through to advanced major grades and offer drama and singing classes to all ages.

In our student and children's dance classes, participants are encouraged to acquire a sound basic technique combined with an understanding of co-ordination and musical interpretation which are the essentials of a pure classical training. Numerous outstanding teachers, and classical dancers in major international ballet companies, have been wholly trained within the Imperial Classical Ballet syllabi.

On completing her training she went on to work professionally in the ballet industry for a number of years touring Europe with The Vienna Festival Ballet Company. She founded the Alexandra Dance Academy over 20 years ago and has been providing children's dance classes in Brighton ever since, where she has trained and nurtured many ballet students from Pre-school through to late teens.

read moreOur two beautifully furnished studios are available for hire when not being used for the academy's classes. Each studio has a specially sprung dance floor and mirrored walls. The Small studio has a maximum capacity of 10 people, and the Large Studio has a capacity of 15. Attractive daily rates are available on enquiry. Please note that the studios are not available for one off hire.
