The Dylan Thomas Theatre is Swansea's only waterside theatre venue. We're a thriving community theatre in the centre of the Maritime Cultural Quarter, situated in the SA1 area of Swansea and we currently attract over 15, 000 visitors per year. We pride ourselves with the diversity of our programme, which showcases the work of educational and community projects from throughout the region.

read moreWe are all missing live theatre but our creativity and performances do not stop. Please contact the theatre at info@dylanthomastheatre.org.uk to join our on line, virtual performances for October, November and December. These will be screened for free via eventbrite, but we hope you will donate a small amount to help maintain the theatre. We look forward to our planned productions in 2021 with "The Merry Wives of Windsor", "A Few Good Men", "The Wedding Singer", "The Addams Family", "Madagascar" and "A NIght with Marilyn" (in June 2021 to commence on Marilyn Monroe's bithday).

read moreThe Company presented plays in many venues and established itself as the foremost non-professional English language theatre company in Wales. Dylan Thomas was a member in the early 1930s and according to local newspaper critiques, was an accomplished and polished actor. We maintained our link through his daughter the late Aeronwy Thomas Ellis, who was a very active and supportive President of our Theatre, we now welcome Huw Dylan Ellis as our new president. We reached outside Wales, having numerous plaudits for our "Under Milk Wood" at the Edinburgh Festival and even performing before Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother.
