St Andrew's Bookshop
Book Store in Slough, Berkshire
Christian literature has a crucial ministry. Through it, people who do not know God can be presented with the claims of Jesus Christ, and the Church can be encouraged in their walk with God, as they seek to work out their faith in the world today. Back in 1957, St Andrew's Bookshop started life as a tiny range of Bibles and Christian books on a table in a village Chiropodist. The vision of the two founders, two local middle-aged ladies, was to introduce the village to Jesus, an idea articulated following a sermon they heard on Andrew, who introduced his brother, Simon Peter, to Jesus in the 1st chapter of John's Gospel.
