read moreWe are an extremely active Guide company which enjoys a close relationship with the church. Our activities encourage growth in all areas of our girls' lives including leadership skills, physical activities and spiritual awareness, and make a significant impact in producing balanced, capable young women. All of this is wrapped up in having a very good time! The 1st Slough Boys' Brigade was founded in 1925 and is based at St Andrews Methodist Church, Merton Road, Slough. We provide a comprehensive programme of exciting, educational and character-forming activities for boys with a well disciplined and Christian ethos.

read moreOn a Sunday there are a number of roads around the church, including Windsor Rd itself, which have single yellow lines. You can park on any of these. If you are visiting the church at other times, please observe the parking restrictions. Do NOT park in the lay-by next to the church, as traffic wardens patrol this area regularly, even on a Sunday. The nearest public car parks are in Herschel St (opposite the church). We now have a validating machine which will allow you to park in the Herschel St. multi-storey car park for up to 3 hours for 1. Park in the car park and take a ticket in the usual way.

read moreWe want to be a haven for those seeking God. We see God as welcoming all sorts, as did Jesus in his ministry, so it's important for us to do the same. We encourage the whole congregation to share their faith with others. We seek to develop both local and international dimensions to our witness by partnering with others. Worship is more than singing hymns or songs. Serving others in the many ways open to us - this too is worship. In fact, the whole of life can be described as worship. God is interested in our time at work, at home and at school as well as our time in church.
