Shopmobility Belfast
Disability Services in Belfast, County Antrim
In March 2003 as part of the outreach programme of Shopmobility Belfast, in partnership with the Disabled Drivers Association (NI) and initial funding from the European Year of Disabled people, DRNI was established. Financial and other support was - and is - received from the Environment and Heritage Service. DRNI is a rambling club for people with limited mobility, their relatives and friends, delivering opportunities to enjoy the countryside. Membership is free and includes the use of a motorised scooter, the only charge being a modest handling fee for each ramble and admission charges when required.
