Whilst working as a sonographer, I became increasingly impressed with results that I saw from people who were having complementary therapies in tandem with western medical treatment - to the extent that whilst scanning women for fibroids, I was able to see and document significant positive changes that had occurred as a result of having Chinese medicine in conjunction with western treatment. Other examples followed and I began to become more and more fascinated by the concepts of oriental medicine, and its more optimistic approach to prevention of disease, not just cure.
