Sheffield & Hallamshire County Football Association goals and to establish safe and structured football opportunities for the benefit of all concerned irrespective of age, colour, gender and disability. We supply the appropriate structures and systems to enable the association to control, manage, regulate and promote the game within the County. This allows us to help with the development of the game at all levels, ensuring we're able to increase the quality and quantity of participation across the various sections of participation.

We work in partnership with the FA to deliver the national game strategy across our county to ensure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game. Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA has a twofold remit; firstly it governs and administers the game, which means providing the infrastructure that actually allows the game to take place. This involves the recruitment, retention and the appointment to matches of approximately 1000 referees.

Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA is committed to ensuring that all volunteers are able to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to operate a successful grassroots football club and delivers a variety of courses throughout the County FA region which volunteers can attend.

SHCFA are dedicated to producing, supporting and developing a highly motivated and talented network of FA qualified referees. We encourage those looking to get into refereeing for the first time through our Referees Courses and we work hard to provide a wide range of support to all registered referees officiating across the county.

read moreCurrently, there are 10 affiliated leagues and over 1000 teams offering players of all ages and abilities the chance to play the game on a regular basis from mini-soccer to disability football. But we don't want it to stop there. We're dedicated to investing in the game locally and working together with you to ensure we provide as many options to play the game as possible, regardless of age, ability, gender, faith or background. Make sure you keep up-to-date with all the necessary information for players, whether it be around getting your own insurance or making you sure you know how to report concerns, to help keep the game safe and fun for everyone.
