Afterstudying traditional furniture making and carpentry at City &
Islington college I worked as a site carpenter specialising in loft
conversion. I also have NVQ in site carpentry and am a CSCS registered carpenter.
Working
my way up to site manager from carpenter after serving my time as
carpenter and becoming expert in 1st & 2nd fix domestic carpentry. A
role which involves taking on the responsibility of meeting all building regulations and liasing with building surveyors and architects.
Always keen to broaden my carpentry skills base I moved on to high end furniture and joinery installation. Going back to college as a mature carpentry student. I studied and passed FDA furniture design and making at London Metroplitan University. Working on all kinds of
carpentry work from designing and making free standing and fitted
furniture to building loft conversions.

I visited Alice to discuss the requirements she had and to see the space along with the existing furniture and what might be stored in the new fitted cabinet and floating fitted shelves. In this picture the fitted carpentry and joinery can be seen in use while the skirting board is being painted. Inside the fitted cabinet we can see the discrete wine rack and tv equipment that was part of the bespoke design.
