Dating from the 12th century are the ruins of St James Priory, set within the Priory Park. The town is home to Dudley Zoo and the Black Country Living Museum. Visitors to the museum may also take a narrow boat trip from the adjacent canal, through the Dudley Tunnel. The Wrens Nest National Nature Reserve is a site of special scientific interest considered to be one of the most notable geological locations in the British Isles.
