Scenes
Museum & Art Gallery in Belfast, County Antrim
Scenes is a family concern, set up when owner John McAfee was bitten by the art bug while helping a friend prepare for an art exhibition abroad and realised that he could supply this service at home. Bringing his idea back to Northern Ireland, John opened Scenes in 1987 and soon moved to bigger premises in Belfast's North Street Arcade, which was to be Scenes' home for the next 16 years. Becoming best known for their passion for art, care to detail and friendly manner, Scenes developed a customer base that included several of Northern Ireland's leading artists and built up a broad corporate portfolio.
