'I have had 45 years knowledge on trading in imported hardwood and softwood. The picture shows me up in Northern Finland on a buying trip for the firm I work for, Compass Forest Products who import Scandinavian redwood & whitewood into the UK. The Hampshire and Dorset Association is a formal meeting of the Softwood, Hardwood and Sheet Materials traders in the area. Meeting about 4 times a year we get to grips with all kinds of the trade including, as you can see a keen awareness that we currently have to have a responsible and forward thinking attitude to dealing.
