Safety Glass Replacements was set up in 1936 by William Pyatt (pictured middle row, left) the grandfather of the current Managing Director, Nick Pyatt. The firm oriiginally specialised in the installation of windscreens and safety glazing in general for the automotive trade. In the 1960s and 70s, under William's son Peter (pictured middle row, right) SGR founded itself as a main player in the contract glazing business - undertaking a whole series of projects on new housing developments throughout Staffordshire for construction firms such as Wimpey Homes.
