S&U PLC is the United Kingdom's foremost niche consumer and motor finance supplier. Located in Solihull in the West Midlands it has operations throughout the United Kingdom from Edinburgh to London to Grimsby to Falmouth in Cornwall. It supplies work for nearly 800 people and is proud to supply 140, 000 people across the country with their consumer and motor finance needs. Established in 1938 and floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1961, the firm in the year ended 31 January 2009 produced J8. 3m in pre-tax profit and announced a dividend of 32p per share.
