The whole project was very well managed and everything seemed to flow very smoothly. Removal of conservatory and build a two story extension in its place. Sean and Pete worked tremendously hard during the project and their experience in the trade shone through. They were professional, organised and very competitively priced. In September 2010 and after several false dawns we were finally able to proceed with our first floor side extension and loft conversion. Architect's plans and surveys had been completed, Council planning permission granted.

The building project was not straightforward, but they overcame any problems which arose and completed the work to a very high standard. read moreI employed S&P Hewitt to replace Fascias and Soffits, Gutters, Downpipes and re-clad the whole front of the house. They also replaced the roof of the porch. I can thoroughly recommend these builders. They are pleasant, polite and take pride in their work. In the summer of 2018, Pete and Sean completed a re-roof of our house, along with replacing the fascias, soffits and guttering. Getting a quote was easy, they listened to our request, heard our ‘vision' and were able to offer guidance and suggestions.

Everything blended in perfectly with the original stone work, sills/jambs etc and was finished to the highest standards. We engaged Sean and Peter Hewitt to renovate a traditional stone outbuilding adjacent to our house in Wingerworth. Historically, we believe that the property was part of a farm and in the past the outbuilding had been used as a stable. I have employed Sean and Pete on a few occasions with projects at my home, which on the first instance was concrete blockwork to a new build 50 x 35 foot agricultural type barn, various general building works to stone outbuildings and lastly, heritage type pointing to a large stone extension to my farmhouse.
