The Riverford box scheme began when Guy Watson began providing vegetables locally to 30 friends in Devon. We now deliver around 47, 000 boxes a week to homes around the UK from our regional sister farms. Each farm is part of a local grower group who work together to fill the boxes each week. We compare our vegbox prices with the leading supermarkets. Overall our vegboxes are around 20% cheaper. read moreYou don't need to be at home. In fact, more than 70% of customers are out when we deliver. Deliveries are made by your local vegman/lady (not a courier), who works on a 'round' basis on a set day to maximise efficiency and reduce food miles. However, if you have a regular order you'll notice that delivery is often at a similar time each week - traffic and weather permitting. You can choose to have a delivery on whichever weeks suit you. To change your order you just need to let us know two days before delivery.

read moreWe have worked hard through the pandemic to keep our co-owners safe and able to pick, pack and deliver to customers. This week with more co-owners needing to self-isolate we have had fewer people available to pack a lot of boxes. As a result, we have decided to temporarily simplify our range, just until the affected co-owners can safely return to work. All items are still temporarily off sale, so you can't add anything new to your order, including the items above. If you have an order set up containing these items (and meeting the minimum spend), they are secure and will be delivered, but other items will have been removed from your order.
