When we moved to Redbourn, I was convinced that God was working in this village in powerful ways; I have seen many signs of God's work in this special place where there is a real sense of community and an exceptional quality of life. To me, then, this year's Redbourn 900 celebrations are a reminder of the many ways in which God has been at work in this village since the founding of St. Mary's Church in 1110. As the population of Redbourn has expanded from around 150 to around 6, 000 during the past 900 years.
