Rachel Allsop Artist

I enjoy creating pieces which capture atmospheric light changes and the pretty textures that can be seen within the natural world. My work is not always truly representational, and sometimes I feel that it is more interesting to capture a particular mood as a splash of water or pool of colour. I spent some of my early school years in Japan and I have now become fond of the simplicity of line and composition found within their traditional works of art, and I feel that this past influence can be seen within my work now.
