Once in the race scene, Roy came across a number of firms supplying equipment to aid the budding young karter in his quest to go faster. Unfortunately, a wealth of this equipment was not up to the quality that Roy had come to expect from his own industry, so being a creative sort, he set about designing items that his son could use and that would make a difference. Word spread among friends they had made on the circuit and soon Roy had a business turning out instrumentation specifically for the karting fraternity.
