St James? Dental, a key part of the local community, was originally established in the late 1970s, when the local health authority asked a Cirencester dentist to open a practice in Quedgeley, a growing suburb of Gloucester. Originally known as The Hollygrove Dental Practice, development was slow and unremarkable and the practice was eventually sold in the 1980s. The new dentist was unsettled and wanted to pursue a career in academic dentistry, which is how David Mathewson (our current practice principal) came to buy the practice in April 1985.
