Pugh's have been providing Cardiff and surrounding areas with horticultural products, plants and sundries since the 1930's. Sidney Pugh prior to the Second World War founded Wenallt Nurseries in Rhiwbina. This was very much along the lines of a conventional market garden/tiny holding producing bedding plants, fruit and vegetables. The business later extended to include fruit and vegetables and even included a tiny dairy.
