Plantation Shutters Ltd was established in 1982 and is proud to be the first shutter company in the UK. Robert James took the company over in 1995 and since then the company has grown to be one of the UKs largest suppliers of traditional interior louvred wooden shutters.During the last 20 years the shutter market has changed dramatically: In 1995 there were 3 or 4 companies selling Plantation Shutters, most of the product was manufactured in the States and imported which at the time was the only choice that any of us had, from then the shutter manufacturing progressed to some companies manufacturing in the UK and some in various countries around the world The UK manufactures were on the whole very proficient but lacked a truly large scale operation and the research and development necessary to really grow the shuttermarket in the U.K.
From this point the UK shutter market was properly reborn, however, one thing hasnt changed throughout these years, that is the fact that Plantation Shutters Ltd is still very much the UKs leaders in the shutter market. As a group we have over 30 years of experience, but individually we have many long standing highly regarded members of staff who have been with us for over 12 years.

Wow Wow Wow. I've just had my Shutters fitted. To say I'm delighted is an understatement. Plantation Shutters are a great firm to deal with. Excellent personal service and really sensible priced. I wish I had more windows to fit - but I don't !

My friend had asked me to wait in for your guys to come and fit shutters(in sheen today) when they turned up they introduce themselves I don't remember one of their names but one of them was called Laurence I could not believe how professional and efficient they were they fitted the shutters very quickly with no fuss and took all their rubbish and bits and pieces away with them.
I had been clearing out some cupboards for the owner and had ended up with a huge amount of bags for the rubbish a few minutes later the guys come back to tell me that they had seen the rubbish truck coming and did I want them to take it out for me which they did I would like to say you have to very professional efficient and skilled young men working for you they are a credit to your company.

From the first contact, they were extremely professional and lovely to deal with. An appointment was booked quickly for measurements and I received very helpful advice in selecting the type of shutters I wanted. Plantation Shutters delivered and fitted the shutters within the timeframe agreed. They also kept me updated regularly. In addition, Plantation Shutters' quote was the lowest, while their customer service was far superior to the other supplier I had contacted. I was very pleased with the whole experience and months later, still love my shutters. I would highly recommend.

We have used Plantation Shutters Ltd twice now. First at our flat in 2014 and now 10 months ago on a house we bought October 2017. We were so please with the job they did on our flat that there was no hesitation in contacting the company again! The survice that we received from start to finish was so professional and everyone I spoke to whether it was on the phone or face to face was so helpful down to the installation!. We are so happy with the results and all of the rooms look so beautiful with the shutters acting as a focal point! The house is still an ongoing project and we will be having more shutters fitted in 2 loft bedroom and 2 bathroom also. I would highly recommend Plantation Shutters Ltd to anyone who is looking to have shutters fitted! I cannot thank them enough for making our home look so beautiful!
