Our orthodontists feel that continuing professional development is important and therefore regularly update their skills via courses and seminars. We will try to accommodate you with suitable appointment times within our NHS opening hours.

read moreCall Pinnacle as soon as possible if you break or loosen any of your appliances. Please do not come directly to the practice - by calling us, you will allow us to create a time to see you. Even if you have a regular appointment scheduled, call us immediately to notify us if you need an appliance repaired, and the reception team will advise you if you need to be seen prior to your routine appointment. Call Pinnacle immediately for advice if a bracket or wire is loosened. The bracket may need to be re-fitted as soon as possible.

read moreFor most situations, common sense will tell you what to avoid. Hard foods, sticky foods and foods high in sugar must be avoided. Hard foods can break or damage wires and brackets. Sticky foods can get caught between brackets and wires. Minimise sugary foods- they cause tooth decay and related problems. Nail biting, pencil and pen chewing and chewing on non-food items should be avoided. We book appointments 5-8 weeks in advance. Patients seen on an emergency appointment will only be assisted out of pain, braces will not be repaired.

read moreTeeth constantly move throughout your life as you grow and your body changes. Once you stop wearing your retainers, some degree of relapse is likely to occur. In order to limit the severity of relapse, there are some precautionary measures that can be taken. Initially we will advise you to wear you're retainers full time. However, each patient is different, therefore you're orthodontist will tailor your retention plan to suit your orthodontic needs. To ensure that your teeth stay as perfect as possible after you have finished your treatment, Pinnacle Orthodontics recommends that you continue to wear your retainers on a part-time basis.
