read moreWe are proud to have a wonderful building which is Victorian with many original features to enhance the environment with extensive gardens providing infinite possibilities for outdoor play including basketball, assault course and football. We have created a 'Mini Beast' area, a 'Builders Yard', a Story area in natural materials and a sensory garden is evolving by the week. We endeavour to make the Nursery welcoming and homely, with staff who are dedicated to providing the children with care, understanding, empathy and love.

read moreOur Nursery is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with any earlier drop off being requested of the Manager. Children who are collected after 6pm will be subject to an additional charge, and parents attention is drawn to our uncollected children policy. Sessional visits to Nursery can be from 8am to 1pm, or 1pm to 6pm with any changes being discussed with the Manager who will do their utmost to accommodate any reasonable request. We offer each child who attends Pine Lodge the opportunity to take part in a Home Visit, which provides an ideal opportunity for parents to meet the key workers who may be appointed to their child, also the Supervisor or Manager who will be on hand to offer expansion on any topic of Nursery care or educational curriculum via the Early Years Foundation Stage.

read moreThe Team at Pine Lodge Nursery School and the Allstars Out of Hours Clubs is around 46-50 strong, with a wonderful blend of skilled staff, administrative, financial and support staff, with qualifications and skills from Teachers, Early Years Professionals, Teaching Assistants, Nursery Practitioners and Assistant Practitioners, Student placements and of course our Deputy Managers and Manager. We endorse professional development for all staff, and have many of our team working towards higher qualifications and accreditations.

read moreFood is sourced and served fresh from the local area wherever possible each and every day avoiding additives wherever possible, All children are given a breakfast, cooked lunch and high tea. Menus can be viewed on the notice boards within Nursery or the Allstars buildings. Our two Chefs prepare and serve fresh meals to the babies and children of the Nursery and Out of Hours Club daily, with a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, dairy and pastas. We can cater for any dietary variances and parents are urged to discuss their needs with the Staff or the Chef.

read moreThese two groups of children range between 18 months and 3 years. Each offers much to stimulate and develop children's basic skills of movement, communication, imagination and role play. With emphasis being placed on learning via play, activities, music and books, with fun, are an integral part of the children's day. Once reaching the Creche and Nursery Groups, Children will be introduced to small group work, involving disciplines of pen control, counting and colours, story time and role play, with lots of Art and Craft to express themselves and have 'fun'.

This house is a home, and each room offers differing resources and facilities for the experiences awaiting the very young children. It is beautifully furnished, and decorated to a very high standard, offering dining room and messy play rooms, cuddle room for relaxing and stories, large play room, outdoor area and sensory garden, story area, sensory theatre indoors.

read moreParents or Carers can request a portfolio which contains all the information required to book a place at Nursery. This can be forwarded online, or requested in document format. After viewing the setting, parents should complete the necessary documentation, returning to the setting with deposits. Places can be booked well in advance, then continued contact with Nursery is advisable up to the time when a home visit and socialization session is offered. If a place is booked at Nursery or at one of our Allstars clubs, and then not taken up, the deposit will be lost with only exceptional circumstances being considered for a refund.
