The Peter Hickman group comprises six hairdressing salons throughout Gloucestershire. The 1st was established in Gloucester in 1957 and Peter Hickman continues to own and manage the group, as well as being a stylist for two days a week. The policy in 1957 was to move away from the traditional ladies' hairdressers and barber shops by combining both in the same salon. This meant a total change in the approach to training. The services provided at that time were not greatly different from what we provide today.
