Our Care
read moreWe take a positive and personal holistic approach that addresses individual needs.

We are all unique. The person we become as we get older will be shaped by a lifetime of experiences in careers, family, hobbies, relationships and religious beliefs to name just a few. Our goal is to reassure our residents and their relatives by maintaining links with valued elements of their personal history.

Each resident has a personal care plan. This is the blueprint designed to meet their individual needs. This includes activities, routines, medical and dietary requirements.

Staff adhere to the care plan to offer person-centred care. This is reviewed regularly with key staff members, the resident/next of kin where appropriate. Family members are encouraged to remain involved in the lives of their loved ones wherever possible.
Nutrition
read moreMeals are an essential time of the day for our residents providing structure and social interaction. We pride ourselves on the attention paid to good nutrition.

Many residents require special diets for medical or maybe even religious reasons. Penns Mount is experienced in catering for a wide range of needs.

The staff are pleasant, caring and attentive they always follow up on any concerns or suggestion I have. The room is kept clean and never smells. His bedding and laundry are kept clean. The food is well balanced. The home feels like a home from home. I am happy that my father is being cared for with respect and is given emotional support when needed.

By building personal relationships it is possible to understand the whole person and develop meaningful activities to enhance their enjoyment of living. Individuals benefit from taking part in normal life in the community. Life should continue and not stop when someone enters our care home. Depending on the individual, accompanied visits to shops, local parks, the pub or attending church services can make life more meaningful and fulfilling.
