Terry Harcus studied hairdressing at South Tyneside College earning both credits and distinctions at advanced level in her City and Guilds certificate in 1985. She was awarded Student of the Year. After serving her apprenticeship in Rosalind Hair Fashions in Hebburn she worked as a senior stylist in Cutting Crew at the Nook, South Shields, for five years before founding Partners Salon in Cleadon Village in 1991. In addition to building and running the Salon she found the time to study and has qualified as both a registered hairdressing teacher and NVQ student assesor.

She stills feels as enthusiastic about hairdressing as when she won Apprentice of the Year back in - well let's just say a long time ago. With her outgoing personality she's definitely a people person and making people feel good about themselves is why she finds hairdressing so rewarding. Christie has worked in the Salon for 16 years, from a Saturday girl to apprentice to Master Stylist.
