read moreWe offer a BSc in Acupuncture (weekend and weekday options), an MSc/PGDip in Nutrition Science and Practice and an MSc/PGDip in Chinese Herbal Medicine. New for 2021 is our undergraduate nutrition course - BSc in Personalised Nutrition. All of these courses provide a complete practitioner training, as well as undergraduate or postgraduate study. We also offer online-only Masters courses for acupuncture, nutrition and complementary medicine practitioners from all over the world. Undergraduate and postgraduate student loans are available for all our courses for eligible UK students.

Established in 1988 the Northern College of Acupuncture is an independent teaching College as well as a registered educational charity. Since the early days the College has gone from strength to strength and we now educate acupuncturists, practitioners of Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition practitioners and complementary therapists.

Accommodation List
read moreThis is the most popular accommodation option. The host families are usually situated within a 15 minute walk of the College and the station, and the costs are reasonable - around 25 - 35 per night. Many of the families have been renting rooms to NCA students up for a number of years and provide a warm and friendly environment. Parking and kitchen facilities are sometimes available - ask when you enquire. York is an international tourist city and has a lot of options for hotel and bed and breakfast accommodation.
Student Union
read moreAs students on programmes validated by Middlesex University or London South Bank University, our students are, unfortunately, not members of Middlesex University or London South Bank University Students' Union. Additionally as the Northern College of Acupuncture currently does not have its own Students' Union then students are also not eligible to be a member of the National Union of Students (NUS). Northern College of Acupuncture students are represented on the Boards of Studies, Academic Board, the Health and Safety Committee and make valuable contributions to the development of their course and the College.
Directions to Northern College
read moreYork is on the main East coast train line that links London with Edinburgh and there are excellent links by rail to every major city in the country. We are about a 5 minute walk from the station. Buses to York either terminate at York Station or Rougier Street, which is just round the corner from the College. From the A19 turn right at the traffic lights at Clifton Green. Cross over Clifton Bridge and keep straight on till the 3rd set of lights where you turn left into Poppleton Road. Follow this road into the town centre.

read moreMany of our students combine work with study, and you can choose between our weekend or weekday acupuncture courses. We are now accepting applications for our 2021/22 BSc in Acupuncture (weekend and weekday options). If you want to learn acupuncture, our BSc in Acupuncture course offers a complete three year practitioner training programme, fully accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board and validated by the University College of Osteopathy. If you have any questions about our acupuncture courses, or want to talk about becoming an acupuncturist, please do not hesitate to contact us.
