N Birmingham Community Credit Union (NBCCU) was established in April 2005 as a result of a merger between four existing credit unions serving the North Birmingham area. These were:Castle Vale, Erdington & District, Kingstanding Sutton Coldfield. The merger brought together over 20 years of knowledge in the credit union field, and has increased the level of services provided to people living or working within the North Birmingham area. NBCCU has continued to expand, increasing our area to include Saltley and Chelmsley Wood and introducing new services to members.

read moreYou can apply for a loan straight away, no need to wait. However members with a history of saving regularly with us are more likely to be offered a lower loan interest rate. We offer access to the credit union services for almost 200 hours a week including two evenings and Saturday mornings. See Where we are to find a branch near you. Once you are a member of the credit union, you can also pay in regularly by Bank Standing Order, benefits or by Payroll Deduction. If you do not hold the above then two documents from the list below are required as evidence of ID.

See the step by step guide or watch our helpful video if you need some help. Then you can access your credit union accounts with internet banking. There can be a delay of up to 20 minutes in updating transactions on your account, if a recent item isn't showing then try later. You will need the activation code sent to you by SMS text message or email when first issued with your card.
