The reason being that there are times in the year when it can be impossible to get on a ferry due to supply and demand, unless you have a block booking. On the English Channel we have accounts with all of the major ferry companies and also with EuroTunnel. This allows us to secure the most suitable ferry / train on the day in question with regard to where the load is coming from / going to, and the delivery time.
