Nimbus Accounting

Accountant in Hove, East Sussex
Accountant in Hove, East Sussex If you are
looking for a chartered accountant who is helpful, understands you, available
at any time, proactive, always looking out for you, makes you pay less tax and
has all the answers then you may have just found them!

Our companywas born out of the idea that accountants should specialise rather
than being general practitioners. We decided that our core knowledge was in the
contractor/freelancers market, helping small businesses and property landlords.
We have expert knowledge in all of these areas and having a focus enables us to
keep up to date with all industry news relevant toour customers.

Once we decided on our core areas of expertise, we then wanted to decide how we
can best help clients that fall within our sphere and what they want from their
accountant. We found that a proactive accountant, who cares and provides the
best tax planning strategies were the main criteria that clients looked for. We
then set about building a robust system so that we keep in constant contact
with our clients ensuring no deadlines are missed. We take personal pride in
working with our clients and will ensure as we grow that this culture remains.
We finally work hard to make sure all of our customers pay the least amount of
tax legally possible.

Tax Archives
read moreWith the dust now settling on the Chancellor's recent budget, we've picked out some highlights that will help small business owners as they attempt to navigate through the plethora of proposed legislation. The headline grabbers were undoubtedly the falling business rates, corporation tax and capital gains tax measures. The reforms to business rates will have the biggest impact as small businesses will look to save significant funds through the proposals, with an additional 600,000 businesses no longer paying any business rates - ever.
Resources
read moreThe main rule is "an allowable expense should be wholly, exclusively and necessarily incurred in the performance of your day to day business." Any direct expense incurred running your business should be claimed, there are some expenses that you might think meet the criteria but are unfortunately not allowable, such as entertainment and professional attire. If you are not sure if you want to incorporate, please contact us to discuss the merits of a limited company. The current state of the UK economy has put significant pressure on HMRC to recover additional tax revenue in order to help them meet the growing deficit in the economy.
