Nike Design Group was established in July 1989 by John Nike, the Nike Group Chairman, by merging his design staff at Bracknell with Williamson Partnership of Bridgend. That Partnership had practised throughout the UK from offices in London, Porthcawl, Bridgend and Leeds for thirty-three years after having been formed itself by a merger in 1956 with Gibb & Lewis of Port Talbot set up in 1907. Work carried out for the Nike Group include - John Nike Leisuresport Complex, The Coppid Beech Hotel, Octagon Toyota Bracknell, Jubilee Building Supplies, Lexus Showroom, Lightfoots Filling Station and Nike Group Headquarters.
