Newmarket House Clinic was established in 1996 as an independent domestic clinic dedicated solely to the treatment of eating disorders. It continues to be a dynamic, developing service, striving to reach the best standards and recognition in this field. The Clinic works closely with the NHS as a supplier of a 'niche' resource to both local East Anglia Trusts and to purchasers in other parts of the country. The Clinic is a sixteen-bedded unit occupying two spacious Victorian family houses set in huge gardens 1mi from the middle of Norwich.

A collaborative alliance between the patient and the multi-disciplinary team is established and nurtured. The patient's physical health is regularly monitored and assessed. The care plan that is devised for each individual takes into account psychiatric evaluation, medical and nutritional considerations and an assessment of psycho-social skills.
